PC still fine with "normal" dates, d/m/y but mvp is m/d/y.

Tried <culture>en-nz</culture> in config but no difference.

And the user the gbpvr recording service is the same one that the machine log in as and regional settings are set to nz.

Anything else i can look at?

I dont think "en-nz" is the correct string for New Zealand. I thought it was something like en-NZ though I'm not sure about that.

I would have though setting the recording service to run as your user account would have done the job.

It just uses the standard date.ToString() functionality of .net. I get NZ style dates here on my machines. There must be something funny about the way that machine was setup, but what exactly? I dont really know.

Is that when using the MVP?

I had a look a the firefox culture setting and it was all lower case, is it the dotnet culture you use? I might jump into msdn then and have a look.

Didn't seem to make a difference.

I went to the mvp and hit the reboot button, but doesn't seem to have any effect.

Yes, its fine via my MVP.

Is it particular dates, or all dates?

most noticeable is the recordings screen. Could it be skin related, or is the skin not able to do that to the data? I'll try and check the system screen once the wife falls asleep which wont be too far away, ha ha...

Is there something on my MVP that could do it?? I'm on mvpmc.

Try having a look in the HKEY_USERS/.Default/Control Panel/International registry key to see what machine default locale stuff is set to. Mine has got a pile of NZ settings in there (country, localname, sShortDate, sLongDate etc)

When I install my machine OS I set NZ during the installation. I know some poepl just leave it on the US defaults and then change regional settings after the install completes. Is this what you do?

No I always set to nz as well. It was different to yours mine had the date format of m/d/y

But I had a look at the service and it was back on local system (doh I give you permission to come round and kick my arse!!)

I thought I'd changed that after the last install, but I guess I didn't....Funny since I thought I'd used some network resources since the upgrade so that why i'd assumes i'd done it.
