I have been messing about with the GBPVRConvert.exe in batch files, trying to automate large numbers of the conversions:

D:\PVRTools\gbpvr\GBPVRConvert.exe "M:\TV\Doctor Who.dvr-ms" "M:\TV\Doctor Who.mpg" MPEG-2

When it struck me, this would be far better off in the system menus. I can't remember exactly what you call them, but the ones you find when right-click on the files in Windows explorer

So, add this to the DVR-MS filetype in the:
Tools -> Folder Options -> File-types menu

go to "Advanced"

then add a "new" action. Let's say "Convert to MPG"

Add the following, making sure you have the complete path to the GBPVRConvert.exe file, enclosed in "" if you have spaces in the path.

And there you go, you should have a working convert to MPG function in your menus.

Tada!

PS. First post, so thanks for the fantastic software

Forgot to say, if anyone knows how to get round the problem of having the file as a file.dvr-ms.mpg, then I would really like to know. It's much better to have the file.mpg extension!

Cheers

Instead of "%1", use "%~dpn1".mpg, which will grab the name without the extension, then .mpg will be added on.

That's
"%~dpn1.mpg"
