I'm having issues watching live TV in PVRX2. Depeending on the exact choice of mux, renderer and decoders I get somewhere between 0 and 30 seconds of sound/picture before one or the other, or both start stuttering and then stop. Recorded shows are fine, as is live TV in GBPVR, and that is with just about ever combination of mux/decoder/renderer I can access. PVRX2 also often displays a warning aout signal strength being low, even though the graph (and at this point the picture) show that it is strong. I've been using the TV card and aerial combo in another machine for months now with nothing but the occaisonnal picure break up.

Interestingly I went back to the Hauppague WinTV application and this suffered the same problems as PVRX2. However, as this is a new build I can't confirm whether this ever worked properly. Does anyone know what GBPVR and PVRX2 do differently, or whereI should start trying to figure out what is wrong?

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

I've included 4 files in the log, the 2 files from PVRX2 that failed (in this case the audio stuttered after ~15s and failed after 30s, picture was OK) and those from GBPVR that played live TV fine with the same options. The only obvious difference is that GBPVR uses the VMR9 rather than VMR9custom.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what to suggest. If WinTV is doing the same thing though, its not generally a good sign.

Thanks for taking a look, I was hoping that there was some obvious differences between GBPVR and PVRX2 that might suggest what the issue is. I'll ty a clean install of XP tomorrow and only install the minimum I need to get live TV working.
