MovieWiz Wishlist - Archive to DVD

I don't currently keep all files on my PC, I burn a number of them to DVD and then store them in a DVD library with a reference ID so I can find them later. Would there be a way to modify the 'archive' function to include a 'not on the system' kind of status and a user defined field that I could put the ref ID in? This way I could load my excel spreadsheet back into MovieWiz with the ref id and when I'm looking for a movie, it would search all online and offline movies for me?

This sounds doable, but MovieWiz does not currently play a movie on a DVD.

I could potentially modify the db structure to allow for 'offline' content, so that the information and thumbnail images would display, but for those items, disable the play feature.

Exactly what I am looking for. I don't want it to play it, just to let me see that the movie I want is on DVD B-32 (my own DVD library scheme, so I really do need an editable user field as well). Offline content exactly.

I also want this feature as I also archive divx to DVD discs.

Ideally I want Movie Wizard to warn me that a movie is not
found and it is probably on a particular DVD disc (Disc ID).
I can already define the DVD drive as a archive folder in the
current version but that is not very useful.

The question is how to make Movie Wizard aware of these disc IDs.
I would suggest the creation of a disc import function that
read movies from a disc and allow users to define a disc ID.

The movies on the dvd, are they simply stored as files, or are they stored in DVD format?

Disks in DVD format have a specific directory structure and filenaming convention.

I burn them as DVD files so I can just pop them into the DVD player and watch when I want to. Usually I use BurnDVDx2 plugin to do it. Then I label the DVD's with a code and put the code and the movie details in a database so I can do a lookup later. It would just be nice to be able to import that database on a periodic basis to update all the dvd movies in MovieWiz and use it as my archive database instead of a different one.
