Consolidating Recordings

I have two systems running GB-PVR with recordings on each and I'd like to merge them all into one of the boxes. My plan is to export the recording info on one system using the 'Export Recordings' in config, then copy all the recordings and the recording-dump.xml file from that system to the other system, then do an 'Import Recordings' on the target system. The recordings directories are named the same on both systems. Will that work? I'm assuming that the Import Recordings adds the info to the database rather than overlaying it all.

Yup, from experience it just appends records that aren't there already. I've done similar to this a couple of times now and it works fine.

Sods law does recommend copying the database file first though to somewhere safe:p

On second thoughts - I have to say I've not done it since the inclusion of season recordings were included - so may be wise to await subs input.

(The only oddity on your import may be if your sources are named different. I also see the import file has a 'group' field - haven't a clue what this is)
