I have 1.29 install fresh. I setup a drive m:\ mapped to my server where I called the root share media. There are subfolders for my shows that I used to record with another application. When I go into gppvr from pc it accesses the videos fine. It displays all the subfolders in M:\. I have a mediamvp box that when I go to it and into video library all I see is a folder called media. I highlight the folder and press enter but nothing happens. I know the enter key works because I can click on different menu options and select it by pressing the enter key.

I don't understand why the mapping is different on the mvp then what is shown on the pc.

I have the video directory mapped to m:\

Anyone have a clue????

Remember the recording service & MVP servers run under a different user account so wont see any drive mappings you've made in your user account.

You'd either need to use UNC paths (ie \\servername\sharename) or change the recording service to run as your user account.

I used unc paths at that solved it. I just figured since I see it on the pc I would see it on the mvp.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The other app I have been using is Beyond TV and have used it for several years. Looking to possibly switch since they are now lagging way behind in integration. Just need to get the WAF in control.Wink
