SchedulesDirect - some channels (no show details)

Hi,
I am in the USA and have both Basic Cable and Satellite and use SchedulesDirect to get the program guide information. I have tried clearing and resetting the program guide but some channels persist in stating (no show details).

I contacted SchedulesDirect believing the problem was with the schedule. I was advised to download xmltv and run a manual test to retrieve the program information from SchedulesDirect. I followed the instructions and found that the test file did indeed contain the channel and program information including program titles.

I followed up and loaded version 1.2.9 of gbpvr, cleared and updated the program guide a few times but still to no avail. The main channel I am checking for is 150 SPEED on DISHTV but I notice that there are others with similar problems.

Channel 148 ESPNU shows the program information
Channel 149 FSC does not show program information
Channel 150 SPEED does not show program information
Channel 151 VERSUS shows program information
Channel 152 CSTV does not show program information
Channel 153 OUTDR shows program information

There does not seem to be a regular pattern to the channels that do not show program information.

I have looked at the logs after running the EPG Update and cannot find any errors. I did have errors if I disabled the recording service but this was not my normal modus operandi.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you set <SaveZap2itXML> to true in config.xml, then hit Update EPG in the config app, then zip and attach the c:\zap2it.xml that gets created then I'll take a look.

The zipped file is too big for the forums web site.

I went into cable settings first and then into satellite settings and did the Update EPG.

I have tried to upload the config file but it says that I don't own any attachments.

I hope I have succeeded.

You need to zip and attach the config.exe.log. It'll only accept the .zip file extension.

Thanks, done. I don't see anything untoward in the log file.

The zap2it.xml is 56Mb and only zips down to 4Mb.

Sorry, that log contains nothing of any use. You'll need to set the logging level back to debug and repeat and repost the config.exe.log.

Hi sub

I have used WinRar to compress the zap2it file and split them into rar segments of about 1Mb in size. I renamed the rar segments and added a zip extension. I am going to try these on the forum.

I will put each part in a separate reply if this works.
