No Video on Recordings

Hi,

I am not getting any video on my recordings. I have sound only. I get both sound and video when I watch TV.

There isnt an obvious cause in the log, but I'd try two things. Set the audio renderer back to 'system default'. Also try temporarily removing the 'ffdshow raw video filter'.

I tried what you suggested to no avail. The one thing I did notice is that this all started after I installed Vista64 SP1. There must be something in there that is doing it. I hope that they haven't implemented some kind of copy protection!

Can you post the logs from when you're watching the video without the 'ffdshow raw video filter' being used?

Sure, I will do that when I get home I am at work right now. I am at the point now that when I try and view the recording it kicks me back to the recording menu. Even when I put everything back the the way it was. When I go directly into windows and try to view it with windows media player it says that the format is not supported. I am using the DVR-MS mux as well.

Its still using ffdshow, which I suspect is the possible cause of this problem. It'd been to entirely take ffdshow out of the picture to check. Look in pvrx2.exe-native.log to check the filter list. Also set the audio renderer back to 'system default'.

OK so I completely removed ffdshow and tried to record and I get nothing. The file size is only about 5k and the one that I did record with only sound (on Monday) is only 530Mb and it was an HD program.
