The last set of logs you posted looks like the recording started fine but cancelled. Try setting <BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording>1</BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording> to "1" in config.xml
Also, make sure that you added PVRx2.exe and GBPVRRecordingService.exe to your firewall exceptions if you are running a firewall.

Just added GBPVRRecordingService.exe as an exception to firewall. PVRx2.exe was already in and checked.
There were several copied of config.xml. I edited the one in the ...Devnz\GBPVR\ directory.
I see now that the file that is being recorded is no longer zero length. There is only one .ts file in the folder this time. The file is also playable while recording using VLC.
