(auto)tuning analog channels, how?

i am sort of lost here, i am sure it's a woods-for-the-trees-thing, but how do you tune in on analog channels? :confused:
i use a hauppauge hvr-1300 and i am about to set it up, and so far all seems working, except the tuning part (i can watch ant wars 23, but after a while it gets boring)

Have you had a look at "tuning assistant" on the gbpvr start menu?
It's a long time since I used it, but it should find channels for you.
