Last night ihad my pvr set to record Ultimate Fighter @ 3am. The file is 2.64gigs (proper for a 1 hour show) but the videi is only 6:36 long. I only use comskip for processing, so th file should be complete. I have Zipped and attached the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log so hopefully you can see whats going on.

EDIT-I also tried removing the comskip logs from the dir and playing with vlc and wmp. no luck

thanks,
Sped

ps this also happened the night before with Grand Theft Auto but I thaught it was a fluke (rebooted yesterday so it wont be in the logs)

This might be the Hauppauge timestampissue http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/TimeStampIssue

Yep, definitely sounds like the timestamp problem discussed in that thread Koenie linked.

thanks, I've updated the drivers.

Now I have a few issues.
#1-I can no longer turn on pvrx2 with my green button.
#2-when I use my green button in pvrx2 it goes to system info, doesn't end pvrx2. I did thry the "fix 45 button" option but not sure what else I need to do to get back to normal.
#3-Can someone please explain to me EXACTLY how to use REtime? I know there are 2 parameters but I don't know how to add them. I don't need to retime a whole bunch of files, only 1. Is it necessary to add this to the postprocessing.bat (not even sure if I have a postprocessing.bat) and how do I tell the bat that that's the file I need processed?

The green button on the remote has never done anything with a default install of GB-PVR. To get it doing something in the past, you most likely manually made some change to irremote.ini. Reinstalling the Hauppauge drivers would have overwritten irremote.ini. Clicking the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button would have got the GB-PVR keys back in there, but not your green button customization - you'll need to redo what you did before.

I've never used REtime, so cant help you with that question. You wont need to add it to postprocessing.bat though, thats a batch file that is automatically called after recordings complete.

OK, fixed my remote issues.

changed my IRremote.ini
-set PVRX2 to the default app
-set GRNPOWER={sys(0xF060)} in the [default] section to exit gbpvr with the power button
-set GRNPOWER={run(c:\Progra~1\devnz\GBPVR\GBPVR.exe)} in the [pvrx2] section.

now I just need to figure out how to get retime to work and I'll be back in business.

I do not use retime as it did not solve my problem in the past. I use mencoder (part of mplayer) as it solved my broken timelines better in the past. With the recent drivers I have never experienced broken timelines any more. The following in a batch file should do the trick (it is a while ago I did this so first test it with only the first line not to lose yr recording as it deletes the original). Use the latest version of mplayer just to be sure.

Code:
"c:\program files\mplayer\mencoder" "%~dpn1.mpg" -oac copy -ovc copy -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf -o "%~dpn1_clean.mpg"
del "%~dpn1.*"
move "%~dpn1_clean.mpg" "%~dpn1.mpg"

Don't you want to make that point to PVRX2.exe instead of GBPVR.exe

I guess you're right. I don't know if I've ever made it point to pvrx2 before. I'll double check. Thanks again.
