this is sort of a wish and a question

if you can watch dvr-ms files on a mvp (been transcoded on the fly)
why cant this happen with a client setup up when using streaming mode?

i tried setting my pc to transcode dvrms to mpeg but was only about 50% successful
so i cant even change them all to mpeg which would be the ideal

Sorry, but it couldnt be done for live tv or playback of in progress files, so not worth the hassle just for playback of existing recordings.

I'm more likely to improve TS support over the comming release so that users can use start using that instead of DVR-MS.

Keep in mind that this runs the exact same command as would be run when transcoding for the MVP, so success rate would be about the same.

yes i did think that about the transcoding the dvrms files

is it worth trying ts out now ?
what are the downsides to ts as compared to dvrms ?

.ts support is new to the current release, and still has a couple of bugs, so not really recommended at this stage unless you have to (H.264 DVB-T etc).

Personally though, I get absolutely flawless standard definition .mpg recordings with the Cyberlink mux, so if you want to view recordings from a client then that is your best option.
