A couple of questions that I hope aren't faq's (I didn't see them anywhere...)

When I want to stop playing a recording it seems that the only way is to press the 'stop' button on the remote. Then I get a black screen and have to press 'home' to get back to the menu but it then goes back to the main menu when I really want to go back to the recordings menu. Is that normal behavior?

Does the telnet server on the PCH have to be running before starting GB-PVR?

1. Stop is the only way to stop playing a recording, you are using the PCH player's keys. If you are getting a black screen I would check to make sure you are using a new version of PVRx2 Sub issued a patch for this. Don't hit the Home key it is one of the hot keys and it is designed to take you to the main menu there are several safer keys like the right arrow.

2. The telnet server does not need to be copied or run once you are satisfied that everything is running okay. The telnet script includes many key command that do need to run however.

Does this actually need to be run before running gbpvr? I thought it was just for testing connectivity.

The telnet script (script.cgi) must be run. There are two lines dealing with utelnetd that can be commented out

The April 10 pvrx2 fixed the stop issue. I thought I already had the latest but I guess not. Thanks for the quick answers...
