Well this is the second box I have installed this on and I cant seem to get it to record. When i record a show it creates a directory with the show name and a .TS file but the file never grows in size, its stays at 0KB.

Ideas what I'm doing wrong here. I have an HDHomerun tuner, remapped the channels correctly and am getting EPG information from yahoo via YApi2XML. I can watch LiveTV fine but recording does not work?

You'll need to zip and post your logs folder.

Try changing <BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording> to "1" in config.xml

Use notepad to edit the file, not wordpad. You may need to restart the recording service after making the change.

Are you running any software firewalls? If so, you need to add an exception for GBPVRRecordingService.exe

Set a recording and then open the HDHomeRun Manager. Select the tuner on which the recording is taking place and watch the bitrate. If it shows 0.00 Mbps, it means that the HDHomeRun is not streaming.

Also, try switching to the DVRMS mux to see if that makes a difference.

ok, well thanks for the firewall tip, i had allowed them through my firewall, but somehow windows firewall was up and running and blocked the stream... seems that everything is in working order now. i mapped both tuners but now i seem to have duplicates of each channel. is this normal?
