Digital channels won't show in PVRX2, only in config

Hi everybody. I've been using GBPVR for a few months now and everything was great. I was able to tune clearQAM and analog channels with my HVR-1600 with no problem. Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR and then I was unable to receive any digital channels. Thinking maybe the new version did things a bit differently, I deleted both tuners from Config and re-added them. I added the analog without a problem and added the digital. I added the analog channels easily and since I had done it before I was able to scan for and map my digital channels to their analog equivalents.

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the dialog to map digital channels. In the upper right corner there is a preview window to show the station selected. Here's where the odd things start to happen. I can view my digital channels without a problem in this preview window, but even after saving these settings I'm unable to view the channels in PVRX2. The analog stations still work just fine but the digital are just black with no sound.

I thought this was very odd that I could see the preview in the channel mapping dialog but when I tried to view the same channels in PVRX2 I was unsuccessful. I figure this is probably a problem with a filter, a renderer, or some setting in the BDA recording plugin. Can anybody help me out? Thanks a lot for any replies.

when you added your digital station did you set up your epg then go update (so all your channels appeared)
then did the digital scan
then on left of screen epg channels then on right (middle) you should be able to select what they map to in the channels that the scan found (also tick the enable box)

Yes, I did all that. I was able to map the channels successfully. It worked before (months ago with v. 1.1.5) and I didn't change my method. In the channel listings for each tuner only those channels which are supposed to be tuned by each respective tuner are ticked. i.e., if the digital tuner is supposed to tune channels 2,4,6,8 then only those are ticked and in the dialog to map channels everything is done correctly. 2,4,6,8 are unchecked on the analog tuner because I don't want those stations to be tuned by the analog tuner.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you're talking about, or if I seem to have done it wrong. Hopefully you or someone else can describe the correct method for mapping channels with more detail, though as far as I know I'm doing it right.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I also have a HVR-1600, and am having trouble with the QAM channels. They display fine in the mapping preview window, but not from pvrx2; I just get a blank screen.

However, I have found that if I click on the channel up or down (+ or -), then sometimes the channel starts working.

I had a similar problem with my digital source (DVB-S) after upgrading, where I could see the channel in the small config window, but it wouldn't work on PVRX2. Sub, tried to help, but we couldn't find a solution.
I managed to get it to work only after a clean install and set everything back up.

CFC does that include reinstalling the drivers for the tuner card? I may try this, but I'll probably just go back to 1.1.5.

Same issue with the same card. Using the same setup procedure you are. Sounds like it may be related to the 1600.

On my side I simply re-installed GBPVR, I didn't touch my drivers.
After the re-install, I also had to "re-register all filters".
Bear in mind though that this was NOT with a HVR-1600, but with another digital BDA device.

Did you install as an upgrade, or as a clean install?

I upgraded 1.2.9 with 1.2.13. I'll probably try a clean install next.
