Whats the deal with the channels?

I can't get a signal, and therefore no channels. I have updated my EPG, but when I attempt to "map", I get no signal and no channels. I've rebooted and reinstalled. Card is detected fine. I've selected Digital Plugin

Specs:
card: Twinhan 1027 DVBS
Version: gbpvr 1.2.9
Dish Pro pnting to 119, 110 and 61.5
LOF1: 11250
switch: 0
LOF2: 14350
(can anyone verify these lof settings? this is what I use in progdvb, dvbdream and mt and they work fine)

I set up the card, updated the epg, then attempted to map. Am I missing something?

Try LOF-1 97500, LOF-2 11250. Thats what works with my Dish Pro with a Twinhan 1020a pointed at 119, 110.

I tried the settings you mentioned, still no luck. I can hear the whine of the card when it is scanning, but no joy. Everything works fine if I shut down gbpvr and go to one of the other apps. I get quality, signal ....and most of all....a picture!

I think there must be something small I'm missing...but I've followed all the steps. (I think) Is there a file I can tweak ...other than bda.ini??

After you updated your EPG did you actually check mark (enable) the channels the update found before mapping. This was the simple mistake I made that drove me crazy.

I went down and checked all the channels (which was a pain!!), but when it scanned, it never got a signal or channels. I think my problem is the no signal. I'm not sure what would prevent it from getting a signal.

Just a guess but with a dish pro and three satellites I would assume there is a switch involved and that value should not be zero.

I've used this setting in MT, DVBDream, and ProgDVB with no problems and get lots of channels. I have a twin lnb which I understand has a built in switch. I have only one cable coming in to the receiver which carries all three satellites.

The power check box IS checked. What's funny is that I tried it again yesterday. I changed the LOF1, sw, and LOF2 to 97500, 11700, and 10600. With these values it showed signal and quality strengths, but the scan returned no channels. This is the first time I've even seen a hint of a signal, so I felt like I was half way there.

I've never used these settings before in any of the other programs (and they don't work). Does gbpvr use different settings? I really want to use this program because it seems a lot thinner than mediaportal, but I can't get it to work.

I just thought I would post a quick note to let everyone know that I finally got it working. I'm not sure what made it work, but in frustration I turned off my machine and left it off all day. When I turned it on I went into ProgDVB to make sure everything was okay (and it was). I went to gbprv and did a scan again....and it scanned!!! yeah!! now to mdapi!
