Installed current version on a fresh install of W2K SP4. H/W is Via Epia MII 10000 with Hauppauge Nova-T 500 (which is seen in Linux on same H/W). Config doesn't load EPG when I select the board manually. If I try to tick the box for only boards detected it comes up with a dialog box after a couple of second saying that no boards could be found.

Any ideas?

Can you run filtercheck.exe from the install directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log?

Shortly after a new install, my Nova-T disappeared on me too (on XP SP3). Looking in the hardware manger it had the not installed correctly question mark icon. I simply re-installed the drivers and it's been fine since.

Hmm. It's a long time since I did much with Windows but I really should have remembered to look there without being prompted. However, device manager claims it's there and working OK so that wasn't the problem.

I should add that the Hauppauge Win2000 comes up with Win TV initialization error hTV=0

The driver installation failed to copy over the dlls in the top level directory of the CD so I copied them by hand into system32. Nevertheless, as in my reply to Drain, the device manager sees the device there and working.

According to that log, there is no video capture device installed in your machine.

I'd try reinstalling those drivers.

I've just been through an entire reinstall of Windoze, SP, Updates, the lot. Same thing. I suspect that it doesn't really work on W2K although there's a readme on the driver disk that says W2K compatibility has been restored about 2 releases from the then current.

It looks like I'll have to look into XP Sad

OK, I've installed XP & reinstalled everything else. It now sees the tuner. It looks as if the Nova T-500 & W2K just don't get on.

I got the crashing problem on scan & downloaded the patch so I'll try that & report back.

I also get the problem that the interface starts up but doesn't display anything. I'm running this on an Epia box on the basis that its inbuilt video includes H/W support for MPEG decoding. I have a suspicion that this may mean that it doesn't have the capacity to support the app.

I suspect the built-in video card on the Epia isnt up to the task.

I know the CPU is also very lacking on these boxes. If it doesnt run, it going to be very slow. Sorry.
