I downloaded latest MediaPortal and tried it out.....craches all the time, so then I downloaded previous MP v 0.2.3 and installed it. Same result, hangs an crashes all the time.

But the EPG scraper is good and cover many countries, so I stripped down files until only the needed files and directories was left.

The TVdatabase.db3 file is the only one needed in the database dir.
The complete WebEPG and XMLTV dirs are needed.
Configure channels lineup with WebEpg-conf.exe
Run WebEPG.exe to grab the XMLTV listings......that are saved into the XMLTV dir as Tvguide.xml

You can try the it out for a short time from
http://startop.homeftp.net/epg_MP.zip

See screenshot of the files from MP thats needed.
Best Regards
MixMan

Very nice and fast.
EPG choices available for Italy are Alice, Adnkronos and Wfactory. Alice is the best choice.
Unfortunately none of them have more than 5+1 days as I have with my 10 days TVXB grabbing EPG from tvlospettacolo even if with less information.
A part the "only" 5 days aspect it's very useful, fast, simple and complete.
