Supported music file formats

Is it correct that only MP3 files may be played using the following
PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper().AddAudioFileToQueue(musicFile);

I have tried playing WMA files without success.

I havn't tried it myself with this plugin API, but WMA (or anyother directshow supported audio) should work.

Of course WMA wont work for the XCard, PVR350 or MVP, as none of these hardware devices can play WMA files.

sub is right, wma files play fine thru a normal sound card via gbpvr. but if you have ripped them with media player and you dont have the licenses on your computer, they wont play.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't up to speed on the digital rights stuff. I also appeared to have a probelm with my media player installation. Anyway, I got some code to convert all my WMA files to MP3 and they all play OK now on the MVP.
