In LiveTV (GBPVR version 1.2.13) I don't have an on-screen, clickable quick record button. I've been getting by using the ctrl-k keystroke, but an on-screen button would be helpful. From what I can tell, a button is supposed to be there. Am I wrong?

Also, is there any way to record hi-def tv in dvd-compatible mpeg2 format rather than a transport stream?

I just use the record button on my remote (which is mapped to Ctrl-K)

Anything high-def wont be dvd-compatible since the dvd standard only allows for standard-def video, but the type of file you get is determined by the mux filter you use. Using 'TS Mux' or 'Full TS' will produce .ts files. Using the 'Microsoft DVR-MS' option will produce .dvr-ms files. Using the Cyberlink or ATI muxes will produce .mpg files.

This is something I'd like to see on the PCH if it can be coded to come up without a pop-up. I find I end up copying the temp file and doing this manually far more often than I expected.

Unfortunately it does use a popup, so not really practical for the PCH in its current state. It asks whether you want to 'record until the end of the current show', 'recording x minutes' or 'record until you exit tv'.

Yes, but could it just invoke record and make it really "Quick" assuming I find a safe key?

Thanks for the info. An on-screen, clickable, quick record button (and an on-screen stop-record button, or even just a stop-record key combo) would be great.

These are just minor nitpicks, however. GB-PVR is already way beyond ATI's awful Catalyst Media Center.
