When I use the manager to run the renamer I get exactly what I want. My files are renamed perfectly. When I run it in my post-processing batch file I get periods inserted where the spaces should be. Is there a way to get it to rename the files without the periods from a batch file?

Sorry for taking so long to reply

Write now, the Renamer only substitutes spaces for periods. Period!

I won't be able to get at that and offer other choices for a while.

BTW, what manager are you using that gives you renamed files?

Ah. At one point I was going to have the manager shell out a copy of the Renamer for each rename. And then it took so long, I built the code straight into the manager. It was suppose to act exactly like the renamer app.

Something is different all right.

OK. On the renamer, when you just run it you will see a checkbox that tells to replace spaces with periods. It's a tease, because the setting isn't saved.

I will add that soon

This takes care of the period and space problem. One thing though. It has a tough time handling two shows with the same episode number. Like a one hour version of a half hour show split up for the reruns.
