This is great, and not to rock the boat... but I have 1 wish-list item. (If it doesn't come for a bit, that's fine.)

Icon and/or filmstrip view?

I was so excited to show my wife how we could watch any of the 150 movies from either TV. We sat down and I started going through to pick one, and at about the Ls my wife said 'There's too many to choose from, this is taking too long.' I guess that's the curse of progress.

Other than that, the plugin works awesome! (Not just great, awesome!)

I've had a couple requests like this already basically for the WizUiList used in several plugins. I am mulling over how to implement this and hope to add this functionality sometime in the future.

This is indeed awesome! I updated last night and so far so good. How hard would it be to make the MovieWizard export the database to a HTML file for use over the web? Maybe a button from within the config? Just curious.

Keep up the great work! My family loves the plugin (especially the kids)!

I haven't updated to 18 yet but will soon Smile & I also MUST find the time to update Blue-Retro-SHV for the changes you made to the skin in ver 17!

I also have a wish list item :o

The wife has been having trouble sleeping recently & has been watching HEAPS of movies & it has now got to the stage that she has deleted the REALLY rubbish ones & the ones that were only for her to watch but has left the ones that I MIGHT want to watch & the ones for both of us to watch together. The problem is I don't know which are which. I would like to make a category for her & one for me & after she/I/we had watch something be able to un-select it from one or more categories & put it into one or more other categories, does that make sense? As I am typing this I also have thought of other possibilities for this feature Big Grin

I'm thinking it probably wouldn't be too hard, perhaps a style sheet or XSL applied against the current xml output. I'll take a look at how much work this might be and see what can be done.

I like the concept. Couple points tho.
  • MovieWiz cannot easily detect when you have actually finished watching a movie, it can only detect that you have started to watch it.
  • May be able to make a generic category called 'Watched' and create an entry in it when ever you start to watch a movie. (Similar to What's New but reversed).

I was thinking of more of a manual solution like when you have selected a movie/program press a button or another selectable button at the bottom & a popup that had a list of the categories that you could move up/down selecting or unselecting as you wish. Although I can also see different advantages for your idea of a 'Watched' catagory.

While talking to the wife last night another thought came up, it would be nice to have a "Keep" category or flag (preferably selectable from within the gui so if after you have watched a show you can say I want to watch that again sometime & select keep) & if it was selected the "Delete Entry" either didn't show at all or gave you an extra warning something like "This program is marked as KEEP do you still want to delete it" or something like that....I think I would prefer the first option myself & just not have the delete entry button available for those shows.

Thanks as always for the latest version Javawiz. One bug I've found (although it may just be me) is that the app seems to "stick" on certain entries when I'm scrolling through. Noticed this in the previous version too but forgot to post about it then. Can I post any logs or anything that might show this up?

To describe in slightly more detail, if I've got say 20 entries in a category, I can scroll down say 15 of them pretty smoothly and then suddenly everything freezes. It takes about 30 seconds to unfreeze then scrolls down to the next item on the list as per normal. It appears to happen on random entries in certain categories, but it's always the same entries each time.

All files are stored on my network storage box in the same folder so it's not an access problem.
