MP4s and MovieWiz

My dad just gave me a bunch of MP4 files. They don't get detected in MovieWiz by default. If I add the extension, will they play?

If not, what's the best course for formating them to divx/xvid?

First, add .mp4 to the list of valid extensions in the MovieWiz config (to make persistent, add to the Settings(1) tab). Now you should be able to detect and load the .mp4's into MovieWiz db.

I believe PVRX2 should be able to play mp4's. If it does not, you need to load the appropriate codecs for mp4 files. I use k-lite which is a collection of several common codecs (video and audio).
