IVideoPlugin Problem

Hello all,

I'm trying to develop a plugin that should show some info using the OSD. I used IVideoPlugin in my class definition, but whenever I try to activate it (with 4+F11) the OSD hangs (movie playback continues w/o problems) and none of the IVideoPlugin methods of my plugin get called.

The log shows multiple entries of:

I tried to remove the standard VideoPlugins (TV Guide, ProcAmp, OSD Menu and Live Guide) from the config file w/o success or any change in the log entries.

I'm running this on a development machine without any capture devices and channels configured. The EPG is empty.

Sorry, but the IVideoPlugin stuff isnt used in PVRX2.exe. It only worked under the old now-defunct GBPVR.exe.

No, not from a plugin. The only things that appear there in PVRX2 are generated by internal components. Sorry.

bump... I know it's been a while, but IVideoPlugin is something sorely missed..

Sorry, but IVideoPlugin support wont be returning at this stage. A lot of work went into implementing support for it in GBPVR.exe in the past, but it was never really used, so hard to justify spending the time on it again at this stage (particularly when I'm stuggling to find time for other stuff).

I know there are many items on your plate that are higher than the IVideoPlugin, but a major plugin that used it was the TV Recordings plugin.

As of now, we use the TV Recordings plugin for the guide if you run it from the main menu. But if you are watching anything, the guide that pops up is the default guide. So you get the inconsistency between the 2 guides.

I don't know how many people use TV Recordings, but I think it would be a nice to have just for the WAF.

Caller ID was a HUGE use for IVideoPlugin..
