Would something like this be easily added to the shutdown plugin?

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post291273

In summary, just trying to have a one keypress solution which sends the machine into standby. Had a brief tryout of the current version of shutdown but it looks like you still need to go into a couple of menu options to achieve this.

I'm really after a one button solution for maximum WAF!

Does the one in System not get WAF appeal?

Too many button presses! Needs to be a one button option, although that's got me thinking that maybe I could write a macro with my new Harmony One remote to replicate this...

keymap a remote key to a standard thirdparty power tool, that would need only a remote key press

cheers

<DefaultPluginPower> just calls the plugin, in your case the plugin whould have to do whatever he want's (so in the config he must set everything else Wink)

dunno, maybe sub can say something on that. another option would be to make the plugin configurable in a way as to say there is only one option, perhaps bring one security question (do you really want to suspend/shutdown/whatever?) & that's it

I too am looking for a single remote key press to activate the "suspend if not active" functionality provided by Shutdown

Is a workaround for to detecting if you've been called via the GUI or <DefaultPluginPower> be as follows:

In the plugin setup screen list each menu item that the plugin supports (hibernate, exit, suspend, etc) with a check box next to each.

Only checked items would show up in the Shutdown menu in PVRX2. This in itself is a nice new feature.

If there is only a single item checked whenever Shutdown is activated it will immediately perform that action without bringing up it's menu GUI. This would include popping up the dialog box if the system is busy recording.
