MPEG FFW/REW issue

It happens only while watching MPEG’s on MVP.
By pressing SKIP forward instead skipping 1 minute ahead as programmed skips 2 minutes or more.
While by pressing SKIP backward skips 2 minutes forward or more. In effect skip time is random.
I changed dongles, muxers everything is possible to solve this problem but with no evident result.
Mpegs checked with Gspot seem good. Hauppauge drivers are the latest available.
I don’t know what to do more. Any suggestion?

Its most likely related to the mux filter, so you'll probably need to try different versions of the Cyberlink or ATI mux filters.

I already tried all ATI and Cyberlink muxers available in the Mux catalogue.
I also extracted all possible MVP dongles even tried mvpmc. Result is the same.
A mpeg grabbed from a DVD has no problem so I am pretty sure is something in the encoding.
Mpeg's are recorded by the DVB-T parts of three HVR-1300.

Sorry, I dont really have any other suggestions. The encoding is done by the broadcaster, and the muxing by your mux filter, and these are the only aspect that should have an effect on the timeline.

Never mind you have done all your best. I would answer myself the same as your.
The only thing I could do is to install back the old Hauppauge drivers may be they perform better than these.

There is no way that mvpmc could fix this problem, since the file positioning is controlled by GBPVR.

It is interesting to note if this doesn't work on the MVP, I could very well be wasting time getting trying to get access to Syabas libraries for mvpmcx2 for the PCH.

Thanks Martin but I don't know what are Syabas libraries. I'll take a look to that.
In the meantime I validated with MPEG Validator an MPEG file known having the problem.
Results are as I expected it is a MUXer problem. May be last drivers from Hauppauge or any other reason I couldn't foresee now.

Thanks Martin but I don't know what are Syabas libraries. I'll take a look to that.

Sorry for the confusion that is for a project I am working on building mvpmc for another hardware platform, the Syabas NMT. Several people have been complaining that they don't like the way that digital captures are played and have been counting on using GBPVR to help with this. Sub's explanation means that it won't help files with bad information.

In the meantime I validated with MPEG Validator an MPEG file known having the problem.
Results are as I expected it is a MUXer problem.

It might not be the mux, but the stream itself as sub suggested.

May be last drivers from Hauppauge or any other reason I couldn't foresee now.

It's good to get the drivers but since muxed digital broadcasts are typically stored as is this isn't quite the same as with timestamp issues on older analog cards.

Even if my ideas now are slipped to 0 I will continue to try to find a solution.

If you want to upload a 50 Mb sample to megaupload or another free upload site I will have a look. Be sure to change your mux to TS Mux first though I want to confirm the source is bad.
