sorry for posting on this topic again Sad

media-mvp is working great with my server. but recently i'm fiddling on a pc client too, and this one has issues with live tv (no troubles with recordings, video/music library/pictures all from server):

* with mode "streaming" enabled, watching first live channel is still fine (no stuttering), but client crashes after changing channel to another one

* with mode "file sharing", live program stutters but changing channels is possible, no crashes.

so, right now i've tried several different audio / video decoders, no breakthrough. should i upload any logs? from server, from client? any help as allways much appreciated

Post the client looks and I'll see if anything stands out.

unfortunately still either crashing or stuttering :-(

by the way, apparently i had a younger version of NativeUtilities.dll (from 2nd of july 2008) than your patch installed. i guess it came with mdapi-update (wich had a "patch" for gbpvr too)? shall i again go back to this one?

issues are still the same, even with your patched version of native-utilities.dll :-(

streaming on pc client: pvr2.exe crashes on first channel change
file sharing on pc client: no problems with changing channels, but stuttering

attached logs with patched native-utilities.dll

many thanks!

I cant see any obvious cause in the logs. Can you also post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log from the server PC?

fresh sets of server-logs enclosed Smile

both server and client here have patched versions of mdapi-filter (from here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36322) with latest pvrx2.exe modified to fit mvpmc.bin-support (from here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=6) and latest native-utilities.dll (from here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=9)

sub >> i just discovered, that changing channels in both modes (streaming vs. file sharing) leads client back to main gbpvr-menue, if "record out of process" (from settings / misc / multidec) is checked whereas server keeps on recording first channel. would you like to see that kind of logs, too?
