I have no idea at all if my problem is related to this or not.

When I watch Live TV using my HD-PVR everything works fine. But when I want to watch a recording, I get audio synch problems. I don't know if its a variable delay (my guess is that it is), but it seems to range from 0ms to 100ms throughout the playback. It's most noticeable when someone speaks. (voice continues a bit after the lips stop moving)

I was wondering if anybody had an idea of the cause.

Thanks!

This sort of problem is usually related to the combination of audio/video decoder, but could also be caused by the audio renderer you have selected (recommend you use 'system default' audio renderer).

Here is my config:

Is there any program that will help me tell if the desynch is constant or not, it's hard to tell just by looking at the video. Sometimes it seems all is synched sometimes it seems like there is a 20ms delay but I question my judgement.

Again, what is odd is that it doesn't happen during Live TV, only for the recording.

Thank you for your help!

Once I get everything sorted out, I will certainly PayPal some money to that wonderful piece of software! Big Grin

There is no setting in GB-PVR to change the audio video sync.

I'd try other video/audio decoders though to see if it helps.

From what I read through my searches on this forum, anything other than ArcSoft for decoders will make my HD-PVR not output audio or video.

You can definitely use other H.264 video decoders (Cyberlink etc). I'm not sure about the audio decoders.
