I'm trying to tune my HVR4000 into the Optus D1 HD transponders. I have done this sucessfully using MyTheatre, but it seems to be a no go with GBPVR. Both under XP ...

I have changed 1601.ini to

[SATTYPE]
1=1601
2=Optus D1 Test (DONT USE)
[DVB]
0=2
1=12331,H,22500,23,xyz
2=12358,H,22500,23,xyz

and for xyz have tried
38, 166, 46, 174, 54, 182, 62, 190, which I believe is every combination of pilot & roll off with spectral inversion set to auto, and the modulation set to 8PSK.

The config log has the following lines

2008-09-08 13:49:29.546 VERBOSE BDARecorder::ScanTransponder(T:12331,H,22500,23,46)

2008-09-08 13:49:33.609 VERBOSE SendPilotRollOff_Hauppauge completed

Which just might be the problem ...

Has anyone else got this working?

Another user had this problem the other day. It relates to the Hauppauge proprietary DVB-S2 tuning interface rejecting the calls to set the Pilot and RollOff. I talked to Hauppauge about it, and they werent really sure why, but suggested a couple of things. I tried those other things but it didnt help. I got busy with other stuff and havnt got back to Hauppauge to investigate further.

Is there anything I can do to help you out, for example, distill the interface the V4L guys are using from the source code?

No, probably not.

I'll get back to it when I get a bit more available time.
