TV Guide - Update/No Show Data

Hi

I'm having odd problems with the TV Guide on occasions.

Sometimes there will be a couple of channels with no data; "No Show Details", at other times there is no data for any of the channels.

If I manually update the EPG via config or from the system/update EPG page then all is fine.

I'm using two Haupagge Nova-T 500 cards and epg data comes via the DVB EPG Broadcast.

Maybe the problem is with automatic updating of the TV Guide. Have I missed something in the setup of updates?

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Nothing really springs to mind, but make sure you dont have it set to do the EPG update at the time a recording might be happening. It doesnt handle this well with the DVB EPG.

Why is this going on all of a sudden?

Your problem wont be the same as above since you're not using the DVB EPG, but go into the config app and hit the 'update epg' button, wait til it completes, then zip and attach the config.exe.log file.

I ran into the same thing here in the U.S. earlier this week. I re-ran XMLTV config (since my DTV channels had changed & I updated my SD channel profile), cleared my EPG completely, updated my EPG and rebooted my GBPVR system. The updated TV Guide data didn't show up until after the reboot, but I just checked & I'm getting automatic updates again.

Maybe an issue with Schedules Direct...? (But I don't know if that's what you use.)

Yes I use Schedule Direct. I haven't updated any profiles or anything. I'll get that for you sub if it doesn't go away by Friday. I won't have a chance to do that until then.

ok I went ahead and stayed up a little later to do this. I updated the epg and restarted my computer and now everything looks correct. i did not empty my epg beforehand because it said it would delete my recurring recordings. I attached the file you mentioned though.

This is at least the 2nd time it has done this and when I manually follow this process it corrects itself. It would be nice to know why though so I can keep this issue from occurring.

That updated fine, so not much to go on there.

After a few days if you find it not updated, post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log files and I'll take a look at the automated update.

here are the logs you requested. "No show data" displays on all channels starting Oct. 5th at 7pm except the shows i have set to record.
