Change in Recording Choice of Capture Cards

I have two capture cards, each set up to get the same program guide and I set recordings to have 1 minute padding at their end. I have noticed that if I pick two programs that occur right after each other then they both presumably get recorded on the same capture card because the 1 minute post program padding does not seem to occur. In this particular case both programs are on the same channel and no other programs were scheduled for recording at that time. I don't know if that changes how GBPVR decides which capture card to use.

I'd like to see the second capture card be used if it allows a program that is finishing to have its padding. I understand that if multiple programs are being recorded simultaneously the post program padding may become a casualty but I think in this case it needn't be.

I think you have to set these two settings to true in config.xml:

  <TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>true</TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>

If you want to be sure you could do a search for them and you will definitely find the answer.

Thanks. PreferAlternatingCaptureSources was set to false and the second parameter was set to true. I changed the first. Hopefully, this change will give me exactly what I want.

Just a question about these parameters. If the second is set to true shouldn't it have chosen the alternative capture card even though the "preference" wasn't to do that? I'm just trying to understand exactly what each parameter does.
