Live tv help

Hi,
when I click live tv nothing happends and i get the main menu back. I know this has been covered before but ive tried all the soltions ive found, like I added record service to the exceptions list ive played with the playback setting, ive updated my epg. Can anyone tell me what ive havent done. I use wintv usb2 with directv I dont know how to setup the reciever to work with gbpvr so i just use the directv reciever to turn the channels. any help is greatly appreciated

Welcome on board, the bad news is that I dont think your capture card (in this case wintv usb2) has a hardware mpeg2 encoder. Unfortunatley you need one to run gbpvr with analogue sources.

Is your device the "WinTV USB2" or "WinTV PVR USB2"? Only the latter works with GB-PVR.

Hi thanks for the help I realized onced i typed usb2 i forget to set it as so in the config app duh lol its wintv pvr usb2 and its working fine since i checked that sorry for the delay in reply and wasting time since mine was so small lol thx again for the help
