Hi,

I've just uploaded v2.6 of the TV Listings plugin at the wiki. Changes include:
Code:
- added “TV Recordings” menu task
- added “TV Recordings” panel for the main menu
- added confirmation popup when cancelling / deleting recordings
- removed (don’t) remind buttons
- added additional icons to indicate recurring and watched recordings
- moved some skin configuration values into “NamedValue” elements
- added options to tweak genre- or recording-status-based colorization, therefore removed legacy option again
- added options to append ‘Further Showings’ to show info and to use ‘friendly’ date formats

I'm very impressed as always of your work.
Did a little skinning for the coming Mayhem3 Theme for the Basic skin.

There is one strange thing that I also saw in v2.4 of the plugin.
If I directly after PVRX2 start, launch the TV Listings guide, the first channel icon IS NOT shown. See screenshot below.
But if I first start TV Guide and then start TV Listings the first icon IS shown.
Best Regards

that's quite strange as I think that I'm using the same method ("ChannelIconCache.GetIcon(channel)") as sub does for the tv guide plugin. Is it always the first channel, even if you change the order of your channel list in the tv listings configuration form? Or is it always this specific channel?

I have your program working but would like some help.

1. I am using Schedules Direct and do not seem to have a xmltv file. How do I get one?

2. I would like not to use the Station call sign (WYFF, etc.) in the listings, but have a logo or just the network like FOX, CBS etc. How do I change this?

Thanks for any help

I use SD, and from what I can tell, the listings are downloaded to C:\zap2it.xml.

I found what caused the problem.
I have 2 TVcards, 1 analog and 1 digital. I first scanned the channels with the analog card. No names was written into dosplay-name field in the channel table in GBPVR.DB3. When I altered the display-name field with the same name as the "name" field, the icon show.

Nice job on the update...I really like the TV Recordings add-on. I have 2 suggestions for it (just trying to help...please don't feel any obligation as you already have made a wonderful plugin!). First, it would be nice to be able to use a folder icon of the shows the way the regular recordings skin does in the initial list of recordings (I see I can put a channel logo there, but I can not find a way to put the show's icon).

Second, it would be really cool to be able to set up our own groupings and to make some groups password protected. For example, I'd love to put all my kid's recordings in a single folder called "kid's shows" and leave it un-password protected while listing the "grown up" shows as usual (each show in its own folder) and require a number code to access them. Once the number code is entered once, it does not need to be entered again until the program is closed/restarted. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea how hard this would be. No worries if you think it is not worth the effort...we very much appreciate all the work you have already done!

I definately agree with the grouping idea.

I have always wanted to be able to group the recordings by their genre (from the epg) file.

At the moment I have my current recordings as normal and I also have an achive folder (viewed through videos) split into Kids, Grown Ups, Family, Sport etc.

If I could view current recordings by genre, I could then re-import my archived recordings back into the db and assign them a genre. The "kids" group will then contain both currenbt and archived kids recordings, all in one place. Perfect.

Anyway, love the 2.6 plugins. Another quality release - as always.

cheers

the tv recordings plugin should display preview images for recorded programmes in the detailed list view, so that it looks like in the attached screenshot. The plugin searches the following locations for images:
- an image url associated with the programme from the tv listings database (generated by xmltvextras)
- an image file that has the same base-name as the recording's filename
- a folder icon named folder.jpg/.jpeg/.bmp/.gif/.png... in the same folder as the recording's file
- an image with the same title as the recorded show in the "image directory" specified in the configuration for the tv listings plugin

Are you using the default blue skin?

sorry, I don't think that I will add something like this.
