HVR2250 drivers won't install

Just got the HVR2250 and it shows up in Device manager but it won't install the drivers. Windows tries but fails with a message it can't find drivers (I've tried both the cd, manually and the files off of Hauppague site). When I run setup from the supplied disc, it tells me '"Drivers have NOT been updated. INF file open failed". Reboots have not helped either. I've seen systems not pick up the installed hardware but it does show it being picked up.
Any ideas?

Might have made a bad thing worse. System restore and re-imaging didn't work. So I went booted to XP and it won't work there either. And, now, my PVR500 won't work!
Can't these 2 co-exist with each other? I wonder if somehow just installing the card caused a problem.
Might have to do a Format C: :mad:
