Hi There,
Hi Sub,

since 4 days I have 0kb recordings. Before this happend I used GBPVR for a long time without any problems.

I did not change any setting. It appeared suddenly and I do not know what to do.

What I did so far:

I used 1.15. Because I could not find a solution I upgraded GBPVR to the latest version. Unfortunately with not success. I sill get 0kb recordings.

I installed the software from my card (Terratec Cinergy 1200 DVB-C) to test whether it has a problem. The card works fine with the Terratec Software. I even finds channels.

When I do a channel rescan in GBPVR it does not find a signal. Strength and Quality are both 0.

I checked the cable. It is ok too.

I uninstalled GBPVR and reinstalled it. Nothing.

As said I did not made any changes to the system and to GBPVR itself. Maybe anyone of you can help me to solve my problem.

Log-files are attached.

Thanks in advanced. GBPVR is a very cool tool

There no sign of any errors in those logs. It looks like the device is unable to lock on to the signal for some reason. Maybe try rescanning in case they've changed frequencies (unlikely).

Does the terratac software show the channel frequency and symbol rate? Maybe check "RTL Television". GB-PVR nows it as frequency 458MHz, with a symbol rate of 6900.

Solved!

Sub, sorry for wasting your time they indeed changed the channels. In fact all of them!

I have a self created frequency file (6900.ini) which suits for my DVB-C provider. Because they moved all channels to frequencies not listed in my old file GBPVR was not able to find any channels.

I created a new one and now everything is fine again..

By the way, I made the following experience with my new file:

When it looks like this:

1=C,113000,6900,QAM64, 8
2=C,121000,6900,QAM64, 8
3=C,354000,6900,QAM256, 8
4=C,345998,6899,QAM256, 8
......
...

GBPVR crashed during scan when it switches from position 2 to position 3. Or in other words when it switches from QAM 64 to QAM256.

When I put all the QAM64 entries at the end of the file and the 256 at the beginning, GBPVR completes the scan successfully.

1=C,354000,6900,QAM256, 8
2=C,345998,6899,QAM256, 8
3=C,362000,6900,QAM256, 8
4=C,370000,6900,QAM256, 8
.......
.......
......
9=C,698000,6900,QAM64, 8
10=C,706000,6900,QAM64, 8
.......
....

Maybe this is a normal behavior. If not I thought it might be interesting for you to know.

Regards
