restart recording service for a single tuner??

Hi there, was wondering if there is a way to restart the recording service of a single tuner, i have multiple tuners, and occasionally i want to restart the service for a single tuner, but if i use the restart recording services it applies to all tuners.

Anyone know if this is possible, or if anyone has done anything like it before, if not I'd be happy to code it myself, but a little help on where to start would be great thanks in advance for any help

Its not possible to restart it for just one tuner. There is only one recording service, and it manages all the tuners.

ok so not possible to restart them independently, would it be possible to add some sort of interface allowing for easier starting/stopping of recording. For instance I'm watching a channel i decide at last minute this is cool i want to record it. A button that would just start the recording, and if i decide its lame same button to cancel it.

Basically would it be possible to extend this functionality with out having to go into the tv guide an select the recording to both start and stop the recording process?? thanks again

Sorry, but this sort of stuff isnt really controllable from plugins.

You can already press record while watching live tv, but it may or may not be a good match with exactly how you want it to behave.
