Quote:- added ability to record multiple channels from the same multiplex with same digital card. This is only possible when you're using the 'TS Mux' option.
Please excuse my ignorance. I've been running GBPVR for over 2 years now with multiple analog tuners, so this new feature intrigued me. Does this mean if I have a digital card I'll be able to record multiple channels at the same time? Does anyone have any suggestions for a card that I could use for this?

I'm not sure what region you're in, or what type of broadcasts you receive, so I cant recommend a card. This feature is aimed at DVB and QAM users.

In these digital systems, each frequency is used to carry half a dozen or so channels. This new feature means that one card can record one or more of those channels carried on that frequency. For example here in NZ, most of our Freeview DVB channels are carried on two frequencies, so two tuners could be used to record the dozen or so channels.

If you're using QAM, you'd probably get benefit from this feature, and could use a card like the Hauppauge HVR2250, HVR1800 etc.
