Just started using GBPVR and it looks great.

However, I started recording a program while I was watching it, left 'Live TV' then tried to return to live TV but got a message saying I couldn't watch live TV but I could watch what was recording. That would have been fine but the recording started from the start, not the current, live position. There doesn't appear to be any way of watching live TV after a recording is started. No doubt I have done something wrong.
Hope someone can enlighten me.

I think you are right, there is no way of doing that - but you could do a quick ffwd / jump to the end of the current recording position which would then be at the same point as live tv.

I eventually figured out the FFW option but there doesn't seem any reason why you shouldn't be able to watch live TV while recording - even my crummy Panasonic TUC-TH100 can do that! Thanks for the reply anyway.

What tuner you are using?

If you only have one tuner, you can normally only record or watch 1 show at a time. Watching ties up one tuner in the same way as recording does.

Howrever, if you are using a DVB-T (Freeview) tuner you could try the new option with " added ability to record multiple channels from the same multiplex with same digital card. This is only possible when you're using the 'TS Mux' option." (from rel. notes)

You set this on the last tab in config.exe.

The TH100 has 2 tuners which is why it can watch live tv and record at the same time. My Nova-T 500 PCI card has 2 tuners and I am also able to do this.

The mulitplex option does not work with DVB-S? My guess is no since I can't get it to work :-)

Yes, multi-record works on DVB-S, but not with live tv though. This feature is only available for recordings.
