tuning comskip

I am very happy with my fine tuning of comskip.ini except for "coming attraction" commercials for the channel I am watching. I haven't figured out how to eliminate them.

Stuntman on comskip forum indicated the same problem in Sept 08 so there may be a solution out there.

I signed up for comskip forum but never received an email to activate my username. I tried to resend the activation email and that didn't work either. I can't find a means of contacting the administrator.

Can you post your .ini file for USA. I'm still struggling with it. Are you doing OTA or cable?

I am also in US. Here's what I am using now. Just change txt to ini if you like it. It is pretty aggressive and generally does a great job.
Here are a couple of shortcomings that I haven't figured out yet:
On the front end padding, it may not pick up the first commercial
It frequently doesn't pick up the last commercial, but, at that point, I've finished watching. Most times the credits are my signal the show is over.
Every once in awhile something slips thru without any commercials detected. This happens infrequently on shows like CSI: NY, but, almost all the time on sporting events.

When you say cable do you mean QAM or are you just recording Analog SD? I find your config as well as others only works for analog SD. Is anyone really using comskip for QAM?

Analog. I have an HVR 1600 but can't get anything from the digital input.
