When I use comskip for some reason it seems that it works the way it should when watching a cable TV show, but when I watch anything from broadcast channels like our local fox station, it skips the last minute of every segment and then plays the last minute of the commercials. I tried messing with the settings, but that didnt make any difference. I'm not really even sure exactly what settings should to changed to fix this.

Actually the way I have things setup, it turns out the problem is with .TS files only.

Actually, I've never gotten Comskip to work with HDTV. It hogged CPU resouces, and cut at the most inopportune moments. Just bag it and set up 30 second skip... YMMV.

I've used comskip without too many problems on ATSC HD, but I haven't used the TS mux. Using either the ATI mpeg mux or the DVR-MS mux (which is my favorite so far), the commercial cuts have been very good. It did used to be a CPU hog for us users of AMD processors until version 80_021 when the developer changed a dll file that was compiled using SSE2 (which AMD processors do not seem to like).
