I'm currently running GBPVR 1.3.7

What are my options for DVD Ripping? (We want to take a bunch of kid videos and put them on the computer, before the kid wears them out (Scratches them is more likley))

DVDRipper is unsupported, as well as MyVideos. (although it's in the middle of a re-birth)

Is there something current? (or works, yet unsupported?)

You can use DVDDecrypter, dvdshrink, dvdfab... It all kind of depends on what you are looking to do.
I use DVD Shrink to clip out just the main movie to a VIDEO_TS folder, then VOB2MPG to make it a standard mpg file. No menus, but very straight forward and saves space over full DVD rips.

I'm actually working on a little ripper based around VLC... (funny how that little guy keeps coming around)

I don't know how far I'll get though. I have it transcoding the main movie at the moment, but might have more trouble with subs and language tracks. I doubt I'll be adding support for menu systems...

The main movie is all I'm looking at. I'll take a look at dvdfab and dvdshrink.

I tried DVDShrink a few years ago - liked it - still happy with it - never bothered looking for anything else...
