Hi all,
I have a Dish500+ (119,110,118.8) with DishPro LNBs going through a DP34 to a dishpro reciver(power) and a Twinhan 1020a BDA 1.2.3.8. I believe these lnbs are "bandstacked." does the current version of GBPVR (1.3.7) support this type of configuration? I tried scanning, but it seems that in the scan it tries to scan each freq for 1 second and the moves on to the next freq; in the end finding no chnls (erroring out as well). I have dvbdream installed as well, and everything works fine in there. However in dvbdream i send raw Diseqc for the sats: 119=E0 10 38 F0. 110=E0 10 38 F4 E0 11 38 F4. 118=E0 10 38 F0 E0 11 38 F0.
I've been trying to get a Server/Client setup going because i want to setup a client in a different room to connect to this setup.

My question is if this type of configuation is supported by GBPVR?
and if so why can't i scan the tp's? did I misconfigured something?

I've tried the LNBF:
LOF1=11250, LOF2=11250, LOFSW=0
LOF1=11250, LOF2=14350, LOFSW=0
LOF1=11250, LOF2=14350, LOFSW=11700 (I think this is the correct one)
but none of these setting will work.

any help/info/direction would be grate.

Hello,

I have almost the same setup as you do, Running both a Twinhan 1020A (1.3.8 drivers) as well as a Twinhan 102G. Both are going through a DP34 switch, I don't have the triple LNB that you have(thought that was a Dish Pro + with the triple lnb's), however the settings you have look correct, in fact they are the same settings I have for 110 and 119.

Did you get the right ini file for each satellite? I know that you have to convert the Horizintal TP's in the ini's to vertical ones.

There are a few located in the forum.

Hope this helps...

Well i have 119,110,118.8 connected in that order. so i was just trying to scan 119 first. I know that i need to update the ini file and convert the TPs to verticals 25600-Horz.Freq.=Vert.Freq (for 118.8: 24600-Horz.Freq=Vert.Freq, because its a FSS). But at this point I did not update any of the TPs in the ini files as i wanted to see if it scans any tps...

I know the default ini file will not give all of the channels, but it should be able scan some tps... right?... however when i try to scan 119... it spends 1 second on each tp saying 0 single and then after going through all the tps it fails.

I am not 100% sure if the LNBs are DishPro or DishPro+. I know that the 119 and 118.8 are "combined" and look like an "eye". h++p://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Dishnetwork/LNBF/LNBF-Repoint%20008-copy.jpg

Also quick question charleybot, do you have EPG working with ur setup?

Hi, I was thinking that you might of had DP+ LNB'S instead of the DP LNB, from what I have been told and used myself, you cannot use a DP34 with the DP+ stuff, but you can clearly tell which lnb's you have, and if it's the one in the pic, you are fine.

As far as updating the ini's for 110 & 119, try these, they are the ones I am using. I am using the XMLTV plugin with Schedules Direct ,($20.00 a year membership, but you can try it for free for a few days)

Also have you tried to change settings in your config.xml?

Some of the settings I have changed are:
<BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds>40</BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds>

I have had the above as high as 60
and
<BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>1</BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>
on the second one, you can try 2 or 0 as well.

When you go to scan, do you hear your 1020a make a click noise?

Let me know..

You can try this ini for 119:
Code:
[SATTYPE]
1=2410
2=Echostar 7 11250

[DVB]
0=21
1=12224,V,20000,56
2=12253,V,20000,56
3=12282,V,20000,56
4=12311,V,20000,56
5=12341,V,20000,56
6=12370,V,20000,56
7=12399,V,20000,56
8=12428,V,20000,56
9=12457,V,20000,56
10=12486,V,20000,34
11=12516,V,20000,56
12=13099,V,20000,56
13=13128,V,20000,56
14=13157,V,20000,56
15=13186,V,20000,56
16=13216,V,20000,56
17=13245,V,20000,56
18=13274,V,20000,56
19=13303,V,20000,56
20=13332,V,20000,56
21=13361,V,20000,56
What version of MDAPI filter are you using and is it registered? Ver2.2 works for me.
Also check your config.xml in the gbpvr directory for this setting
Code:
<BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>2</BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>
should be either 2 or possibly 0.

Yes

but none of these setting will work.

any help/info/direction would be grate.

1. BDA drivers installed
2.Use:LOF1=11250, LOF2=11250, LOFSW=0
3. Modify the .ini files - for all H transponders change H to V and change freq to 25600-Hfreq needed for bandstacked LNBF There are some converted samples here if you search.
4. set <BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod>2</BDATwinhanDiseqcMethod> in config
5. 1020a is notorious for DiSeqC switching problems. Make sure you have good power.
6. One source per sat

Have fun mapping an XMLTV source- somewhere sub said he may look into the dvb-s guide on NA sats when he returns.

Thanks for the grate Info. But its still a no go...

charleybot i tried your ini files and config setting and i still get nothing. however with the <BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds>40</BDAPsiScanWaitSeconds> setting, the scan seems to take longer than 1 second on each tp. I'm not sure if the 1020a "clicks" when it scans (my computer is to loud), but if your trying to see if its a bad 1020a... the same card with and computer works with dvbdream...

I am sure there is no power issues as i have a dishnet reciver connected to port 1 of the DP34.

observer_11,
I have not yet installed MDAPI. MDAPI would help to run soft cam to decypt the single... i don think it would effect scanning of sat in any way... right?

Also another Note:
If i let the scan finish scanning all the TPs in the end i get a "Unhandled exception has occured in you application... Object references not set to an instance of an object".

I'm thinking the problem is some how with gbpvr talking to the twinhan drivers... because when it scan the signle/quality is always 0 and it goes through the TP list real fast...

Post the logs and I'll check for any errors. (about to get on plane though, so it might take a couple of days to get back to you)

I was asking about the click sound because that's how I can tell when my 1020A is working, it makes a single click noise when first tuning to a channel.

You can ignore the scan signal/quality meter, mine always says 0 for both when scanning, even though I pickup quite a few channels on the scan.

Other than posting your log files I don't know what else you can try (maybe re-installing your Twinhan drivers) ?

There's a relay on board that makes the click when it applies power - 19 VDC.

I see signal/quality on the first TP, then I get zero for the rest. If it remains zero for the first TP scanned, I know something is wrong.
