Hello,

has anyone got this hybrid pci-e card working with gbpvr? I was hoping to get BBC HD working??

The card seems to get detected as a blackgold card (showing the dvb-s and dbv-t as seperate devices), is this good or bad? Anyway as soon as I Do a scan using various included examples (not sure about all the settings!) It doesnt find anything.

Thanks, Andrew

I think the idea on new hardware is to run filtercheck in the gbpvr program directory and then look at the output in filtercheck.log and try to extract the data to create a new entry for BDA.INI or double check that it matches an existing card. Or there again zip and post the output log file as sub has more practice at creating an addition to bda.ini (plus it goes into the master distribution file).
I have a pinnacle 4000i and it doesn't scan either - or pull in anything given a copied scan cache file. Hopefully you have more luck than I.

Hi,

thanks, I had a look at that BDA.ini file. does not make much sense to me really, they all look nearly the same, so I dont even know why the blackgold setting didnt work Big Grin

I will try and get a log captured and hope sub or someone more knowledgeable than me can disipher it Wink

If you run filtercheck and post the resultant log file in the gbpvr directory, we can see if your details match up with anything in the existing bda.ini file and/or give you an update that you can cut and paste into the ini file and try.

I think this is a rebadged blackgold BGT3540. Try setting up your capture sources using this card option, starting with either DVB-T or DVB-S. DVB-T might be easier to start with. If it doesnt find anything, post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

hi,

thanks for the fast reply, i will give tthat a go, if it is a rebadged blackgold it was a real bargain because it cost a quarter of the price !!!

It look like there is no errors, and everything seems to work correctly, but the device never manages to lock onto a signal. Have you seen it working in any other app?

hi again,

i have seen dvb-s standard def stuff working fine on the tv center pro software supplied with the card. I only have 1 sat connection to use so ive tried it on both antenna inputs on the card

ive not tried terrestrial though ... only on gbpvr ... i will give that a go now
