DVB-S Card quality

Can anybody advise if different cards perform better than others with regard to signal strength etc.

I know that Freeview boxes vary, but wonder if it's all town to the LNB with SAT.

I want to replace the compro S-350 cards I have with my new Hauppauge ones but now wondering if it's really worth it.

For my experience, NO

Not really, I'm running 1 X Nova S+ and 1X FireDTV, they both have quirks but no real difference for me.

I think in the UK there is enough satellite signal to make the type of card make no difference.

In the last hour we have bene having torrential rain and I checked on 3 pcs and a sky box and they all seemed to start breaking up at roughly the same time (given I had to run up and down stairs a lot).

Now, performing with gbpvr - that's a much more different thing!!
