Hi,

I recently updated (installed over older 10213) to version GBPVR 10307.
I use motherboard integrated audio (Realtek HD under Vista x64) and since update to latest GBPVR I see that audio is always slightly out of sync when switching through channels on latest GBPVR (using NVIDIA PureVideo 5.1 surround audio and video codec). it gets worse over time when watching same channel for like 1-2 hours it gets really visible (lips moves not matching audio channel for almost a second).

Anyone else experiencing it? should I uninstall GBPVR and do clean install? it was working fine with former 10213 even after many hours.
Logs attached.

Stuff installed besides GBPVR:
msxml6_x64.msi
NetFx64.exe
NetFx20SP1_x64.exe
vcredist_x64.exe

using Zap2itXML wrapper for EPG. running (mostly) Vista x64 SP1 or XP x64 SP2 (no MCE remote driver).

i just discovered that recently i toggled 24-bit audio in NVIDIA PureVideo decoder properties. just disabled it and audio seem ssynced properly at first glance. will test it further over time to see if issue has been fixed.

unfortunately still some channels (e.g. Spike via Comcast Basic analog) are still out of sync. it seems new version of GBPVR introduced this trouble for me. any help please?

Its unlikely to be the new GBPVR release causing it. It doesnt do any of the actually playback or audio/video sync itself. These takes are typically related to the decoders and renderers.

First think I'd try is setting your audio renderer back to 'system default'.

thanks sub. you saved the day Big Grin
it was Nvidia audio decoder (5.1 mode) causing this audio sync trouble.
once set to system default it works great again, i might have started using 5.1 mode of nvidia decoder (formerly running 2.0 stereo setting) at the same time as i updated to latest GB-PVR. I will edit first post topic to reflect proper reason of this problem (nvidia audio decoder 5.1)

now slightly off topic (sorry), how can i get Slick skin to work? it shows fine in Config preview (green leaves background), but in PVRX2 it shows regular blue gradient background. i guess some image setting is not pointing to were it should be, can you help? thanks.

Guys, I love GB-PVR, the best TV player I've seen. the thing that keeps me amazing is that i can use a mix of digital and analog channels in same channel grid. for me just amazing! Big Grin

You need to add your own artwork in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\Media\MenuArt\Default". It only ships with the default blue background.

thanks man.

one last question, i use x64 system so my GB-PVR is installed in Program Files (x86) and wanna make sure where the correct path for artwork points to.

also, some more new facts after switching to system default audio renderer:

on a side note, my system default audio renderer seems to be ffdshow decoder (it's logo now appears in taskbar right corner). i have to admit that i use other codecs for watching movies encoded with divx, xvid, mkv formats, that's why i have k-lite or cccp codec packs installed.

or perhaps i'm a noob when it comes to setting proper audio renderers, but since now i got ffdshow logo in taskbar i enabled there Dolby Decoder ("default" was selected by default).

.\Media\MenuArt\Default from wherever the gbpvr directory is.

ok back to square one. still something doesn't match with audio by a fraction of a second, i can see that by watching lips and listening. how do i reset that stuff to default default settings? i have to admit i don't even know what my default audio renderer is to be honest.

I'd set the audio renderer to 'system default', then try different combinations of audio/video decoder.
