I have installed GB-PVR on my system, with a Pinnacle PCTV 450i (Sat Pro) DVB-S card. This was not supported, but I have added a to the BDA.ini file as per the WIKI, and the card is now listed. I have installed the EPG and these channels are listed for me to map my channels to. However, when it scans for channels, it appears to scan, but finds no channels. Nero Home when scanning Astra 2a/2b/2d/Eurobird1 finds over 500 channels.

I have attached JPEG's of the config pages and the BDA file that I have altered. Any help gratefully received.

Can you do a scan then attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log?

Of course. I've attached them in a .zip file. Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not really sure. I cant see anything obviously wrong in the logs. I assume you're definitely got the correct LNB settings?

I'm not sure. I am using the default LNB settings, (LNB LOF1 9750, LNB Switch 11700, LNB LOF2 10600). From what I can find on the internet these seem to be the common settings. Do you know how I can check that they're right for my satellite receiver. It is a standard Sky Plus disk for the UK (two outputs for dual recording, only 1 plugged in).

Hmm, not sure that the problem is with the LNB settings. I have experimented with various settings that I have found from google searches. Have only succeeded in reducing the strength and quality of the signal on many of the frequencies, and have not managed to find any channels. With the default setting the signal strength is generally -40 to -44Db and the quality 99%, which seems reasonable, but no channels are picked up. It is scanning all the right Astra frequencies where the Freesat channels should be.

The only thing that I notice with the LNB settings is that googling them fairly consistently says the swith should be 22KHz, where it is set to approx 11700Mz by default, and I can't see how to change it to KHz and therefore can't experiment with this setting.

This is something different. This is related to dishes that have multiple LNBs, and an attach 22KHz switch to switch between them.

If you did need to use a 22KHz switch for a multiple-LNB setup, then this is not possible on you Pinnacle device. Diseqc and switching is only available orn Hauppauge/Twinhan/FireDTV devices.

OK. Could you tell me if I've understood this correctly. The LOF is the frequency by which the satellite signal is divided by the LNB to give the cable frequency, and is determined by the LNB on the satellite, and the switch and LOF2 settings are not relevant to my card. I therefore just need to find the LOF for my satelite's LNB and make sure I've entered it correctly? Thanks for all your help by the way.
