On all the recordings I make the video resolution is always 544x576 any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks for any help

Assuming it is an analogue tuner...
run config, capture devices, edit tuner, go to recording source settings, at the bottom you can edit the various recoding profiles and change the resolutions and bitrates.

[edit]: Ah, I see from your posts you have a dvb-s tuner. I have no experience of these type of tuners but (assuming they are similar to DVB-T tuners), you don;t have control over settings for digital channels, gbpvr just writes the digital stream to disk. Perhaps it is the channel you are recording from? Some transmissions (such as UK history) are often at a lower res to say BBC1

That's a valid resolution for PAL digital used to get 5 channels of SD on one transponder.

Here is N.A., I see 528x480 a lot on QAM and ATSC for the same reason.

Yep, 544x576 is a fairly common resolution used on PAL DVB channels. It lets them squeeze extra channels in by using a lower resolution.
