I installed a PVR-150 on an old PC to watch TV while working.
WinTV that came with the board works OK however it is not a good program. I read about GB-PVR and decided to give it a try. The installation went OK. I configured it as Live TV.
PVRX2 shows a transparent window, nothing happens and status is always "sleeping".

I searched in the forum. It seems that may be the video board is not good enough however there are many other errors in the logs.

Could someone please take a look in the logs to confirm that GB-PVR can run on this PC or not? If not is just a matter of the video board or is there something else that needs to be fixed? Thanks.

The PC runs XP SP3, CPU AMD Sempron 2400+, RAM 500MB, HD 80GB, MB SIS based ASRock with internal video board SIS 661FX_760_741_M661FX_M760_M741 (yes, exactly this soup of letters and numbers)

Quote:PVRX2 shows a transparent window...
This is typically a sign that your video card isnt up to the task. This is usually because the videocard cant create the large textures required by the UI.

Quote:2009-02-02 00:13:09.109 VERBOSE SetRenderList creating new texture (720 x 480)
2009-02-02 00:13:09.125 ERROR m_pD3DDev->CreateTexture(uiElement->image->Width, uiElement->image->Height, 1, 0, D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_MANAGED, &texture, NULL) failed
Error code : 8876086C
This log message confirms that is the case. It cant create the 720x480 texture to hold the application UI.

Thank you very much for the prompt answer.

Would GBPVR.exe work instead of PVRX2? If yes, where from can I download the latest version that supports it?

Sorry, GBPVR.exe was removed quite a while back. I dont have versions of it that work with the current releases.

I installed one ATI 9200LE that was idling around and PVRX2 is working OK since then. Far better than the other applications I've been trying, congratulations.
There is only one problem I am facing right now: on some channels the audio is not synchronized with the video, lagging by about 5 to 10 seconds. Is there a quick fix for this?

Maybe you suffer from the timestamp issue with the 150 drivers.

Good luck.
