[DEV] Beta?

Have you guys managed to play around with the latest build? I'm quite pleased with it and think that we are ready for beta!

I'm certain that there are tweaks and improvements still left (and may be even a bug or two) but I'm quite keen on getting it "out there".

Thoughts?

Host: Bladder_se has just told me that the limit for zip files on the wiki is 16mb (and I've just confirmed, tested it). I think if we can it's best to use the wiki to host the (10.5mb) installer rather then a 3rd part download site or ftp server.

Wiki: I've created a Community Skin BETA page on the wiki. Thought the BETA/v4 would be a good time to update and revamp the wiki docs for the skin and plugin. Feel free to edit, esp the "What's new" section - I'm having a hard time remembering

Yeah I think we've got to be at the beta stage. I'm right in thinking that we're now mostly feature complete, right? I'm sure there are bits and bobs to be tweaked (I purposely haven't skinned the plugin layout just yet).

As far a host goes, it would have been cool to have the download counter. That info could've been valuable to know what the average GB user is using screen wise.

Just for info sake: I think I'm really close with the HD version, I've preliminarily got the formatting done and most of the graphics. I'm hoping to have it ready for commitment by the weekend.

What I meant to say was, hell yeah lets get that beta out there. Even just to prove that it's real and that this whole thing hasn't been some elaborate hoax

Scrub that. Hairy said we'll have a real HD version out next week as he's nearly finished the HD optimised skin files.

Care to enlighten me and explain the differences between the SD and HD versions?
