It would be nice if GBPVR can use an LCD TV,keyboard and mouse connected to the computer as a frontend. I can use my system as a dedicated fast home theatre w/o any mvp or nmt while continuing the work on the pc

I thought you could. There is a start on second window or something like that check box on the first page of the config app.
Does this not do what you want?

I think that GBPVR considers the monitor on the left the primary regardless of how they are assigned in the Display Properties.

I use my computer just like that, desktop machine with monitor and htpc connected to the tv. The only "problem" is if you want to use both at once, 'cos the focus can only be on one program at a time (so the remote controls your web browser in stead of GB-PVR or your keyboard controls GB-PVR in stead of your spreadsheet).
All in all it's never a problem for me, 'cos I never use the computer for both tasks at the same time.
